What’s new
Cloister for iPhone and iPad 1.3
Released 25 October 2026
- Extend a running block: add 15 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour from the app, or 15 minutes from the Lock Screen.
- Strict blocks now start with one press from Control Center, the Lock Screen or the Action Button, like the others.
- The Start a block control in Control Center now shows its icon and starts your block.
- A thinner ring in the Dynamic Island.
Cloister for Mac 1.0.5
Released 22 October 2026
- The Video list now also blocks YouTube videos shown inside other websites, which play from youtube-nocookie.com. If you already have a Video list, it gains that site once, and schedules that use it do too. Remove it in Settings → Lists and it stays removed.
- While Cloister finishes an update, sets up Safari's filter or starts a session, its menu shows a moving orb, so you can see it's working.
- In Shortcuts, Find List is now Find Block Lists, and its help reads correctly. Shortcuts you've already made keep working.
- Nothing new is sent.
